Heads Up Football - A NEW standard for Safety 
Heads Up Football is the safer way to practice and play. USA Football has worked with leaders in both medicine and sport across the country to create a full-featured program that any league or school can use to address key safety issues — and ensure that every coach understands and knows how to implement each component of the program.

Every Coach is Certified!!!
At Los Gatos-Cambrian Pop Warner, and all across National Pop Warner, every Head and Assistant Football coach must be trained and certified in Heads Up football before they are allowed to coach our children.   From 50 year veterans to former players interested in assistant coaching, every one of our coaches is required to pass certification in the latest in football safety and procedures..    

Specific Modules of Heads Up Certification include:
  * Coaching and standards for youth players
  * Proper blocking and tackling techniques
  * Heat preparedness and hydration
  * Proper fitting equipment
  * First aid response, CPR and cardiac recognition
  * Concussion recognition and response
